Jan Gösgens, technical manager at FC Den Bosch, would like to see Wesley Sneijder come to the club. Earlier this week it was announced that Ebert Dollevoet, director of Top Events, has serious plans to work with Sneijder at the club from the Kitchen Champion Division. Gösgens does not dare to say whether and in what role Sneijder will work in Den Bosch.
“I can’t tell you much about that, except that I welcome the fact that there are people who want to help the club. And whether that is Wesley Sneijder or Ebert Dollevoet, I only applaud it ”, says Gösgens in conversation with ESPN. “What I certainly applaud is that former players are going to help clubs. I see that happening far too little in the Netherlands. I would prefer to see Wesley Sneijder do it, if he does, with Ruud van Nistelrooij for example. An icon here of the club, you naturally welcome that. ” Van Nistelrooij does not seem to interfere much with FC Den Bosch, as he has been appointed coach of Young PSV for next season.
Gösgens hopes that the possible arrival of Sneijder and Dollevoet will lead to better times at FC Den Bosch, the last player of the Kitchen Champion Division. “We have to have perspective. Everyone accepts this for a year, but there must be a dot on the horizon. The supporters, the sponsors and also we within the organization will not keep this up for years, ”said Gösgens, who cannot say whether Sneijder will end up in the technical staff of Den Bosch. “I really don’t know about that. If Wesley wants to help the club in any position, we have to applaud it. I am only positive about it. ”
