Voetbalzone.nl, part of The FootballCo Group, is immediately looking for enthusiastic and driven editors for 20 hours or 40 hours a week. Voetbalzone, founded in 2001, has grown over the years to become the most visited football website in the Netherlands, with an average of 5.8 million unique visitors per month.
What are you going to do?
You write news articles and match reports that keep the reader fully informed about everything that is going on in the football world. You follow the news very actively and you use all relevant inputs to obtain unique information. You filter news, monitor deadlines and at the same time ensure that the social media channels remain up-to-date. You are full of energy and take initiative.
You are able to write for a wide audience: neutral, fast, concise and accessible. Together with your fellow editors, you are also responsible for the news flow, you can publish at lightning speed, make choices and provide articles with explanations. In addition, you will be given every opportunity to develop more broadly as an editor, for example by making background stories, interviews on location or attending press conferences.
Your profile?
– you have experience in writing web texts and you work very carefully;
– you are willing to work irregular hours, in particular on weekendsto work;
– you know all the ins and outs of social media and are aware of the latest updates;
– you are a running football encyclopedia;
– you are a strong communicator and a team player;
– you are fast and work flawlessly;
– you are stress resistant, flexible, independent and driven;
– you have experience with content management systems;
– you have an excellent command of the English language in word and writing, command of another foreign language is a big plus;
– you are able to come up with ideas about football news on a daily basis.
What do we offer?
If you prove suitable, you will receive a permanent employment contract for 20 or 40 hours a week, with an attractive pension scheme. The ability to work from home. The employment conditions are in line with the market and depend on your education and experience. A team where passion for sport is palpable. We are happy to determine the start date in consultation, although we prefer an employment contract starting in July or August.
