A wonderful moment for Thijs Dallinga on Thursday evening. The Dutch striker from Toulouse scored the first European goal of his career. He converted a penalty against Union Sint-Gillis in the Europa League in the first half. The Belgians came back to 1-1 after the break, which also turned out to be the final score. Liverpool, who won 1-3 against LASK, lead the table in Group E.

Particularities:
The opening phase belonged to Union, which tried twice in vain through Fedde Leysen. Charles Vanhoutte also got an opportunity. His shot went just wide of the post. Zakaria Aboukhlal, who, like Dallinga, was in the starting line-up, injured his knee and had to be substituted just before the break. His replacement, Frank Magri, was knocked down in the box in injury time: a penalty. Dallinga took responsibility and moved in flawlessly. The French went to rest with a good feeling, but the Belgians started after tea. The goal was scored twenty minutes before the end. Mohamed Amoura dribbled past several opponents and crowned his beautiful action with a neat finish in the short corner: 1-1. Both teams still had chances, but the score would remain at 1-1.
