Feyenoord has lost a practice match against NEC. Without the internationals, the team from Rotterdam lost 1-2 at Varkenoord. Danilo scored the only goal for the formation of coach Arne Slot from the spot. PSV, which played friendly against Anderlecht, did win. Goals from Mohamed Nassoh and Mohammed-Amin Doudah made it 2-0.

Slot already hinted at the press conference after winning the Classic last Sunday (2-3) that he wanted to practice midweek and an opponent was found in NEC. The team from Nijmegen, who already came to De Kuip twice this season and finished twice with ten men, this time completed the ninety minutes with eleven men and promptly won 1-2. Pedro Marques opened the score from the spot, after which Danilo also used a penalty kick: 1-1. Anthony Musaba made the winning after the break.

Feyenoord entered its own training complex without internationals. That meant that Neraysho Kasanwirjo, Christian Rasmussen, Mo Taabouni, Ezequiel Bullaude, Danilo, Javairô Dilrosun, Igor Paixão and Oussama Idrissi got the chance to show themselves. They didn’t really, because NEC was the parent party in South Rotterdam. Slot did not see that from the dugout, but behind the billboards. He left the coaching to his assistants and watched the game together with general manager Dennis te Kloese.

Sávio makes his comeback for winning PSV
PSV’s practice match against Anderlecht was dominated by Sávio’s return, who was given twenty minutes of playing time by coach Ruud van Nistelrooij after three months of injury. Players such as Boy Waterman, Jordan Teze, André Ramalho, Olivier Boscagli, Patrick van Aanholt, Guus Til and Thorgan Hazard also made an appearance. Nassoh and Doudah eventually ensured the justified final score of 2-0. The margin could have been even bigger, but PSV missed a number of opportunities. Anderlecht were not in the game for ninety minutes.
