Feyenoord’s line-up for the Europa League meeting with Lazio is known. Trainer Arne Slot has chosen Marcus Pedersen to replace Lutsharel Geertruida, who is struggling with mononucleosis. Furthermore, all players who suffered from aches and pains last weekend appear to be ‘just’ fit.

After last weekend’s away game in Deventer (3-4 win), a number of players had complaints. Pedersen was already substituted at half time with a minor injury, while Dávid Hancko and Danilo stumbled to the side in the second half with painful faces. However, they can ‘just’ come into action against Lazio, because Slot has included the three in the starting eleven. Geertruida is the only one who has to cancel due to physical malheur.

The defender, who has mononucleosis and will be absent for the time being, will be replaced at right back by Pedersen. Quilindschy Hartman is again the left wing back. Last weekend in the Adelaarshorst he started on the bench and he filled in for Fredrik Bjørkan, who did not leave a good impression. Now Hartman can show it.

The central duo is formed by Gernot Trauner and Hancko and Slot opts for his permanent formation in midfield. That means Quinten Timber and Orkun Kökçü will play in control and Sebastian Szymanski must provide the attacking impulses from midfield. Patrik Wålemark, Danilo and Javairô Dilrosun are posted up front to take care of the goals. Justin Bijlow of course defends the Rotterdam goal.

Feyenoord’s line-up: Bijlow; Pedersen, Trauner, Hancko, Hartman; Kokcu, Timber, Szymanski; Wålemark, Danilo, Dilrosun.
