Róbert Bozeník has started the new season of the Liga Portugal strongly. The Slovakian striker from Boavista scored five goals and two assists in the first five league games, making him currently Portugal’s top scorer. Bozenik, who played for Feyenoord between 2020 and 2023, can earn the Rotterdam team a nice amount in the future. The reigning national champion receives twenty percent of the net profit on his next transfer. Feyenoord sold Bozenik to Boavista this summer for 2.5 million euros.

On Monday evening, Bozenik and Boavista took on low-flyer Chaves. With two goals and an assist, the Slovak played a major role in his club’s 4-1 victory. Thanks to the victory, Boavista is currently at the top of Portugal. After five games, coach Petit’s team has already collected thirteen points. Sporting Portugal and Porto also did the same, but have a lower goal difference.

Bozenik also scored two goals during the victory over Benfica (3-2).

Feyenoord loaned the thirty-time international from Slovakia to Boavista last season, but he was not yet able to impress. In 27 official matches, Bozenik was only good for 4 goals and 1 assist. However, the club management wanted to sign the right winger at all costs, so a deal was found with Feyenoord. If Bozenik continues like this, the Rotterdam team could receive an even higher transfer fee from his departure in the future. The attack leader is fixed at Boavista until mid-2026 and is according to Transfer market currently worth 1 million euros.

Although Bozenik did not succeed at De Kuip, he made himself popular with the club’s fans as a player for Feyenoord. His enthusiasm regularly brought a smile to the supporters. In total, Bozenik played 28 official matches for Feyenoord, in which he scored 4 goals and 2 assists. The Rotterdammers ultimately sold it at a loss of around 1.5 million euros, but that may decrease due to the resale percentage.
