Napoli goes full for Marcos Senesi at a departure of Kalidou Koulibaly, so report Tuttosport and Il Mattino. The latter is fiercely linked to Manchester City. Although the negotiations between Napoli and the English club are difficult, a transfer is still in the pipeline. As a result, Feyenoord can expect a top offer from Naples in the near future.

The Rotterdam club is demanding about 25 million euros for Senesi, but according to Italian media the parties will eventually come to an amount of 20 million. Sokratis Papastathopoulos, the 32-year-old defender of Arsenal, was also in the picture at i Partenopeibut one prefers the 23-year-old Argentinean. Earlier reported Feyenoord Transfermarkt that head scout Maurizio Micheli had already had talks to get the defender to Naples.

Senesi has been associated with various clubs in recent weeks, such as Atalanta, Leeds United and Seville. The Argentine TyC Sports reported that Atalanta had even officially reported to Feyenoord. Technical director Frank Arnesen reportedly told the Italians that the Rotterdammers want to catch at least twenty million euros for Senesi.

For the time being Dirk Kuyt is still the most expensive sold player in the club’s history. Liverpool sold Kuyt eighteen million euros in 2006. There is a chance that Feyenoord will break this record with the sale of Senesi. According to various media, Feyenoord had previously refused a fifteen million euro bid by Seville for the centre defender. Senesi, who Feyenoord snatched from San Lorenzo last year for seven million euros, is tied up at De Kuip until the summer of 2023.
