Matchday 21 of the Eredivisie is over. Leader PSV had little trouble with FC Volendam (1-5) after a false start, while SC Heerenveen dealt a serious blow to Ajax (3-2). Feyenoord and FC Twente recorded fairly easy victories, while FC Utrecht's attack seems to be gaining steam. These are the highlights from last weekend!

At PSV, Jerdy Schouten has been completely freed from a respiratory infection. The midfielder, who has also proven his worth as a center defender several times, scored the important 1-2 in Volendam. More importantly: with Schouten in the ashes, teammates Ismael Saibari and Joey Veerman perform even better than they normally do.

In addition to Schouten, Jordan Teze also appears in the team. The right back scored an own goal early in the game, but was then of enormous value to the leader with a goal and no fewer than two assists, who are one step closer to the title after the victory in Volendam.

Several strikers were on target last match. David Min (RKC Waalwijk), Ricky van Wolfswinkel (FC Twente), Jizz Hornkamp (Heracles Almelo) and Sam Lammers (FC Utrecht) scored two goals and therefore all claimed an election. The choice fell on Hornkamp, who scored for the fourth game in a row, and Lammers.

Lammers has not yet managed to score for FC Utrecht since his temporary arrival from Rangers FC during the winter break, although the attacker has shown that he is important to the team's game. That Lammers is more than just a pure goalscorer, he showed in the first half against Fortuna Sittard with a very smooth through ball to Taylor Booth, who finished calmly. Lammers played a busy and strong match and ended the goal drought fifteen minutes before the end. From an impossible angle he determined the final score at 4-0.

Lammers' teammate Booth should also not be missing. The American scored a hat-trick against FC Volendam in the previous round and was also of great value on Sunday with a double against Fortuna. These are good times for Booth and Utrecht. With the victory, the club is now undefeated in thirteen Eredivisie matches in a row. This meant equaling the club record from the 1990/91 season, when the Domstedelingen were led by Ab Fafié.

The VZ Team of the Week: Jasper Schendelaar (PEC Zwolle); Jordan Teze (PSV), Lutsharel Geertruida (Feyenoord), Robin Pröpper (FC Twente), Quilindschy Hartman (Feyenoord); Ryan Flamingo (FC Utrecht), Jerdy Schouten (PSV); Taylor Booth (FC Utrecht), Jizz Hornkamp (Heracles Almelo), Sam Lammers (FC Utrecht), Osame Sahraoui (sc Heerenveen).
