Fenerbahçe played a nice draw in the Europa League on Thursday evening. At home, it was still 0-3 in the fortieth minute, but goals from Enner Valencia, Miha Zajc and Emre Mor eventually made it 3-3. As a result, the team of trainer Jorge Jesus remains first in Group B, with as many points as Rennes. Both teams were already certain of qualifying for the knockout phase prior to the game.

Rennes took the lead after five minutes. Adrien Truffert gave the ball low and found Gouiri, who left goalkeeper Altay Bayindir no chance. After Lovro Majer saw the 0-2 rejected by the VAR in the tenth minute, Rennes doubled the lead after more than fifteen minutes: Hamari Traoré found Gouiri with a nice pass, the latter put Terrier face to face with Bayindir and the Frenchman did not fail. : 0-2. Gouiri even made the 0-3 after half an hour with a slider, after which Valencia (header from free kick) did something back on behalf of the home club just before half time.

The devil was in the tail in the second half. After Michy Batshuayi, Valencia and Emre Mor had missed opportunities for the connecting goal, Zajc did make the 2-3 from a free kick. Just before time, Mor detonated the Sükrü Saracoglu Stadium, by sliding into the 3-3 from the edge of the penalty area. As a result, Fenerbahçe is still at the top of Group B thanks to a better goal difference.
