Denso Kasius stands for a switch to Serie A. According to the usually well-established transfer journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Bologna has serious interest in the nineteen-year-old defender, who is currently rented out by FC Utrecht to FC Volendam. Di Marzio speaks of ‘advanced negotiations’ and mentions a possible transfer fee of 2.5 million euros.

Such a transfer would be remarkably high, particularly because Kasius yet played a minute in the first team of Utrecht. The right back, who was active in the youth academies of Sparta Rotterdam, Feyenoord, ADO Den Haag and Utrecht, debuted in January 2020 on behalf of Jong Utrecht in the Kitchen Division Champion. He has since played seven league games for the youth team. In January 2021 Kasius was eighteen years leased to Volendam, where he now until 35 appearances came in the Kitchen Division Champion. It Kasius accounted for six goals and four assists.

Due to the interest of Bologna, the rental period seems to be coming to an end prematurely. Kasius will then go down in the books at Utrecht as the most expensive self-trained player who never played for the first team. Bologna initially worked on the arrival of Calvin Ramsay, an Aberdeen right-back, but Leeds United seem to be running away with his signature. Bologna wanted to hire Ramsay for one million euros, with an option to buy four million euros, an amount that could increase through bonuses and a resale percentage. With Kasius, the number thirteen of the Serie A seems to be cheaper.
