There is a good chance that Gyrano Kerk’s wish to make a transfer in the last week of the transfer market will still be fulfilled. According to the Friday edition of The Telegraph Stade Brest, Lokomotiv Moscow and Hellas Verona are interested in the attacker, who for the second summer in a row is in suspense about his future.

Cagliari, Hellas Verona and Leeds United were concrete in the market for the 25-year-old Church a year ago, while there was also interest from Spain. The attacker was open to leaving FC Utrecht and would have even had a personal agreement with Cagliari, but in the end no agreement was reached on a transfer fee with which the Domstedelingen could live.

A year ago FC Utrecht was not in a financial situation in which Kerk had to be sold, partly because Sean Klaiber was sold to Ajax earlier in the summer. Because FC Utrecht has not yet had a significant outgoing transfer this summer, the club has an interest in making another hit in the final week, the newspaper writes.

More than a month and a half ago it was announced that Anderlecht had made a formal offer of four million euros for Kerk and an undisclosed resale percentage. That proposal was immediately relegated to the trash by FC Utrecht. The Telegraph writes on Friday that the top club from Belgium does not have the finances to settle the battle for Church in his favor.

Kerk has been playing for FC Utrecht since 2012, which then took the former youth player of Telstar, Haarlem and DWS away from the Amsterdam amateur club Zeeburgia. The attacker, whose contract still runs until mid-2023, has provisionally played 175 games for FC Utrecht, in which he was good for 42 goals and 43 assists.
