FC Twente sees nothing in the sale of Ramiz Zerrouki. Monday morning reported The Telegraph that Feyenoord sees the 24-year-old midfielder as a possible successor to Fredrik Aursnes, who is about to sign with Benfica.
“We will hear the story of Feyenoord, but we are not interested in a sale,” said Jan Streuer, technical director of FC Twente. TC/Tubantia. ”We want to keep our team together.” Zerrouki still has a contract for two seasons with FC Twente. The Algerian international still has a contract with FC Twente until mid-2024 and according to The Telegraph the Tukkers demand an amount of ‘more than three or four million euros’.
Feyenoord’s interest in Zerrouki is continued 1908.nl confirmed. The usually reliable Twitter account writes that the interest is in an ‘informative phase’. Trainer Arne Slot also needs to be definitively convinced of Zerrouki’s qualities. This, and the high transfer fee that Feyenoord has to pay, is the reason that Feyenoord is also focusing on other targets with a possibly better price-quality ratio.
It is not very strange that FC Twente prefers not to sell Zerrouki. Technical director Streuer managed to keep the selection largely intact. Only Jayden Oosterwolde left for Parma, while Michel Vlap, Michal Sadílek, Sem Steijn, Przemyslaw Tyton and Issam El Maach were presented as acquisitions. Vlap and Sadílek already played on a rental basis in De Grolsch Veste last season and made the definitive switch to FC Twente during the summer transfer window.
