OGC Nice lost to Angers on Sunday and Jean-Clair Todibo in particular will still be awake. The defender was shown red after nine seconds, after Angers attacked immediately after the kick-off. Todibo now holds the record for fastest red card in Ligue 1 history. A goal from Nabil Bentaleb finally decided the game: 0-1. Due to the defeat, Nice is disappointingly thirteenth, while Angers has equalized in points with the team of trainer Lucien Favre.

Angers started the match furiously and immediately launched a fast attack. Nice, with Pablo Rosario on the bench for the entire game, seemed unprepared for that, after which Todibo took down his escaped opponent. Referee Bastien Dechepy was relentless and showed the red card to the 22-year-old Frenchman. This gave the ex-defender of Barcelona a negative record. It is the second time that Todibo has been shown red this season. Earlier, he was also referred to the dressing room early on a visit to Clermont Foot (1-0 defeat).

After the red card, the home team logically had a hard time, although there were no real great opportunities for a long time. However, Nice did not manage to go to rest with a draw. Bentaleb found some space in the sixteen-meter area and then made a nice effort to the top right corner: 0-1. Fifteen minutes after the break, the tide seemed to turn for Nice. First was Andy Delort with a header close to the equalizer. Two minutes later, Angers also had to continue with ten men, after Sofiane Boufal received his second yellow card. In the future, however, Nice only got a big chance via Delort; the striker headed over the crossbar via goalkeeper Yahia Fofana.
