Paris Saint-Germain wants Xavi Simons to play an important role at the club, transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano reported on Tuesday afternoon. The Parisians see Simons as one of the two faces of the future PSG.

Now that Kylian Mbappé appears to be leaving for Real Madrid, there is nothing left of the trio of Mbappé, Lionel Messi and Neymar. Messi left for Inter Miami last summer and Neymar is under contract with the Saudi Arabian Al-Hilal.

The club is eagerly looking for new 'faces' and has found them in Simons and Warren Zaire-Emery. The latter is considered one of France's greatest talents and has even made his debut for the national team.

Zaire-Emery has also already reached a verbal agreement on a new contract with PSG. According to Romano, this renewed commitment will be signed soon.

Simons is still stuck at the Parc des Princes until mid-2027, but can also count on a new offer. According to the Italian journalist, PSG will take steps in the coming months to make Simons the face of the club.

The twenty-year-old midfielder and attacker is currently on loan for RB Leipzig. He has already scored seven goals and six assists in 21 Bundesliga matches this season.

He is also making waves in the Champions League those Roten Bullen. The eleven-time international of the Dutch team has so far played seven times in the billion-dollar ball, scoring two goals and also being a reporter twice.
