The selection of Manchester United is increasingly restricted by Erik ten Hag. The coach who came over from Ajax, who is praised by the players for his tough approach and high intensity, has announced new measures and will ban all private chefs. United will deliver five-star meals to the players themselves to prevent them from arriving, it reports the Sun. Players previously used their own personal chefs, but now follow a unique diet plan.

Since the arrival of Ten Hag, several things have been pressed down at United. For example, it is forbidden to consume alcohol during competition weeks. United will be active in the Europa League next season and, like all other clubs in England, has an overcrowded schedule. Ten Hag has now implemented a new drastic measure to ensure that the players are optimally present at the kick-off during the start of the new Premier League season.

Players are no longer allowed to use their personal chefs the Sun familiar. Players such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Luke Shaw are known for having a private chef, but have been told by Ten Hag that it may not be used for the time being. Instead, club chefs can be booked to cook their food. These so-called five-star meals will then be delivered to the players’ homes. This is to prevent the players from arriving.

Ten Hag has put his requirements package on the table from his first working day, in which discipline and health checks are central. Other rules the manager has implemented include that players must eat together during training and weekly BMI checks. Players who show up late for training sessions and team meetings are asked to go home. Even when players are at home they are expected to stick to the personal food plans, hence the club’s delivery service.
