Manchester United will go on a training camp to Las Vegas next summer, various English media report. Rumor has it that Erik ten Hag wants to test his players’ composure in the city known as Sin City (the City of Sins). United also believes that there is an unexplored commercial market to exploit in Vegas.

It was announced at the end of December the Red Devils next summer one pre season tour by the United States. More than a month later, the destination is also clear. Vegas is famous for its gambling circuit and parties that go on all day and night and is therefore known as ‘the City of Sins’. Ten Hag would have deliberately chosen that place to see how well his selection can control itself.

There are also commercial interests behind the trip. Allegiant Stadium – home to the Las Vegas Raiders, with 65,000 seats – is reportedly set to play an exhibition game against another Premier League giant. What that is remains unknown for now. United is expected about three weeks in the States and play games on both the west and east coasts.

Ten Hag’s apparent motives rhyme with the cultural change he has brought about at United. That’s how the Tukker would say The Telegraph imposed fines for being late to team meetings, training or dining and a telephone ban for the latter. He has also made efforts to prevent leaks from the locker room and to create a culture of honesty and togetherness. The changes seem to have had an effect, as United is still competing for prices on (almost) all fronts.
