Eran Zahavi has sparked the interest of Olympiacos, know Football International. The 34-year-old PSV striker, who will run out of his contract next summer, can leave the Eindhoven club this transfer period. However, Zahavi does not feel like an early departure from PSV and plans to serve out his contract. The attacker made his comeback on Thursday in the cup match against Telstar (2-1 win) after two months of injury.

Zahavi seemed to leave PSV this winter due to unpleasant private circumstances, but has received permission from his family to finish the season in Eindhoven. The attacker and his family were twice victims of a burglary in the Amsterdam neighborhood of Buitenveldert, the first time involving a lot of violence. Zahavi’s wife did not wish to return to the Netherlands. After a conversation with PSV and trainer Roger Schmidt, Zahavi has now decided to serve out his contract. He therefore ignores the interest of Olympiacos.

The Israeli has been playing in Eindhoven since the summer of 2020 and still has a contract until the end of this season. However, the second break-in in a short time is said to have left deep marks on Zahavi and his family, despite no one being home during the second break-in. Zahavi was recovering during the winter break in Dubai from the knee injury he sustained during international duties with Israel in November. The center striker made his comeback in Schmidt’s team against Telstar and also participated for a few minutes against Ajax on Sunday.

Zahavi is in his second season with PSV. After scoring 11 times last season and providing 3 assists in 25 Eredivisie games, his counter this season stands at 4 goals and 3 assists in 13 games. In a European context, the counter stands at 4 goals this season, compared to 6 hits last season. Schmidt has stated several times that he expects his pupil to stay longer. Zahavi would have confirmed this in a personal conversation with the German trainer. He also discussed his situation with the club management. It is not known what amount Olympiacos has left to take over the attacker from PSV.
