Ali Al-Bulayhi couldn’t believe his luck on Monday with Saudi Arabia’s 1-2 win over Argentina. The 33-year-old defender let his emotions run wild by walking towards Lionel Messi and shouting at him. Opposite GOAL Al-Bulayhi revealed what he said to the Argentina captain.

The Saudi defender patted Messi on the back a few times to get his attention and then gave him a few words. “I told Messi several times that he was not going to win,” Al-Bulayhi revealed after the sensational victory over Argentina. Messi then looked at the defender somewhat bewildered, as he did not seem to understand Al-Bulayhi.

The Saudi victory over title favorite Argentina was big news worldwide on Monday. King Salman of Saudi Arabia even declared a national holiday for Wednesday. Everyone from the country has Wednesday off to fully enjoy the historic victory over Messi’s team.
