PSV and FC Twente still disagree about the transfer fee of Joël Drommel. The 24-year-old keeper has personally agreed with the Eindhoven club for weeks, but due to the lack of a deal between both clubs, there is no question of a transfer yet. According to it Eindhovens Dagblad PSV and Twente still have the intention to get out. However, all parties involved will have to compromise, or so it sounds.

PSV does not want to meet the asking price of six million euros. Drommel himself already said that he also thinks it is too high a transfer fee. The people of Eindhoven are betting on a lower amount. According to the regional newspaper, Twente still thinks it can earn more than three to four million euros from the switch. Moreover, the Grolsch Veste is convinced that other clubs can still get involved in the race, so that technical director Jan Streuer is in no hurry with the negotiations.

The newspaper writes on Monday that Drommel himself has one of the keys in his hands. The keeper and his agent are entitled to a quarter of the transfer fee. If they refrain from doing so, both parties will come closer to each other. PSV would like to have Drommel, but is not in a particularly good financial position. Last week it was announced that the selection and the staff have agreed to surrender their salary. The number two in the Eredivisie also does not want to pay that much for him, as Drommel can be taken over next year on a transfer-free basis.

If Drommel only makes the switch in a year’s time, the transfer fee will lapse, so that the keeper will not receive a percentage. According to the newspaper, PSV can solve this with signing money. However, technical manager John de Jong hopes to complete the transfer this year. After all, second goalkeeper Lars Unnerstall has already agreed to a switch to FC Twente, while RB Leipzig can reclaim Yvon Mvogo, who has been loaned to PSV until mid-2022, by means of a clause next summer.
