Julien Duranville is on his way to Borussia Dortmund, it reports L’Equipe. The sixteen-year-old prodigy of RSC Anderlecht will sign for 4.5 years in the Signal Iduna Park. The number eleven of the Jupiler Pro League reportedly receives 8.5 million euros for Duranville, which can increase by three million euros through bonuses.

The young right winger will undergo a medical examination at Dortmund on Thursday. L’Equipe describes him as ‘the new sensation of Belgian football’. Duranville made his debut for Anderlecht last year in the play-off match against Club Brugge (1-1) and played ten matches under coach Brian Riemer this season, in which he scored once.

The two-time Belgium Under 19 international is known as a player who can knock out a man well in one-on-one and who has excellent technique. Duranville seemed to take his chance at Anderlecht at the beginning of this season, but has been sidelined since October due to a hamstring injury. Several top clubs were after the Belgian, but Dortmund acted the fastest.

The Germans have an excellent track record when it comes to developing young talented players. So made it the Boruses Jadon Sancho, Erling Braut Haaland, Ousmane Dembélé and Christian Pulisic, among others, at a young age before being resold for gigantic sums. Duranville is Dortmund’s second winter acquisition, after Julian Ryerson was previously taken over from 1. FC Union Berlin.
