Borussia Dortmund did excellent business on Sunday afternoon in the battle for the Bundesliga title. The formation of Edin Terzic won 6-0 against VfL Wolfsburg and is only one point closer to competitor Bayern Munich. Wolfsburg could have conquered sixth place, but remains seventh. Donyell Malen and Sébastien Haller scored once. Karim Adeyemi missed a penalty, but still scored two goals. Jude Bellingham also made two hits.

Dortmund opened the score after just under fifteen minutes of play. Adeyemi headed a cross from Julian Ryerson beautifully behind Koen Casteels: 1-0. The score was doubled in the 28th minute by former Ajax player Haller. Adeyemi pulled the ball tight and low, after which Haller was able to tap in: 2-0. Expanded in the first half the Schwarzgelben the lead further. Julian Brandt and Malen approached goalkeeper Casteels together. Brandt gave the ball wide and Malen could easily hit the target in front of an empty goal: 3-0. It was Malen’s eighth Bundesliga goal of the season.

Shortly after the break, Dortmund continued where it left off. Bellingham started a solo from his own half, shook off a defender and fired the ball into the corner with his left. Casteels still touched the ball, but hit the leather against the post, so that the ball had such an effect that it flew into the goal on the other side. After an hour of play, Sebastiaan Bornauw made a horrific mistake. The Wolfsburg defender handed the ball in to Adeyemi, who was able to make it 5-0 after a combination with Haller.

Shortly afterwards, Adeyemi seemed to complete his hat-trick. Bellingham was knocked out in the penalty area and the German forward took the penalty that followed. However, he shot the ball high over and was substituted a few minutes later. Just before time, Bellingham also scored his second goal of the game. Brandt cleverly headed through a high ball, putting the Englishman face to face with the goalkeeper. Bellingham did not fail and shot in flawlessly: 6-0.
