Ronald de Boer has little faith in a breakthrough of Naci Ünüvar in Ajax 1. The nineteen-year-old attacking midfielder annex wing attacker is currently rented out by the team from Amsterdam to Trabzonspor. Ünüvar extended his contract this summer until mid-2026. The competition at Ajax is fierce, so he opted for a loan.
Ünüvar was named ‘Talent of the Future 2019’ three years ago. In the same week he also signed his first professional contract. Ünüvar has so far only played three official matches in the main squad of Ajax 1. Last season, Ünüvar had a great season in the Kitchen Champion Division. He was one of the trendsetters of Jong Ajax with sixteen hits and twelve assists. In preparation for the current season, he regularly played with the main squad. However, when all internationals returned to the capital, Ünüvar more or less disappeared from view. In the case of reigning national champion, Ünüvar currently has to make do with a reserve role. In three official duels, the counter stands at 37 minutes.
