Donny van de Beek has opted for a new agent on the advice of teammates at Manchester United, reports the Daily Mail. Last week it was announced that the Manchester United bench seat has switched from Guido Albers to Ali Dursun. Van de Beek hopes to leave Manchester in January with a new supervisor. According to English reports, Van de Beek spoke with Everton and Wolverhampton Wanderers about a rental deal in recent weeks, but Dursun may have other plans with the the Dutch international.

Conversations with teammates in the Manchester United dressing room have, according to the Daily Mail This led to Van de Beek leaving Albers, the agent who brought him from Ajax to Manchester United. According to Ajax guard Mike Verweij van The Telegraph Mino Raiola made an attempt to recruit Van de Beek, but the choice fell on Dursun, the agent who also represents the interests of, among others, Frenkie de Jong and Victor Lindelöf, Van de Beek’s teammate.

Van de Beek reportedly wants to leave Manchester United. Under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, he will not work for the second season in a row. So far this Premier League season he has only played six minutes. According to reports, Everton was already in the picture last summer, but Solskjaer did not want to let the ex-Ajacied go. Director of Football Marcel Brands would now make another attempt to hire Van de Beek, while Wolverhampton Wanderers would have the same plans. With Dursun as agent, it should come to a departure from Old Trafford in January.

The choice for Dursun is a conscious one, Verweij reported this week in the Kick-Offpodcast. “Ali forced the biggest transfer ever for a Dutch player, when he brought Frenkie to Barcelona for 86 million euros. So I think Donny now also hopes that he gets a very nice new club.” Verweij thinks that Albers also managed to transfer Van de Beek to another club during the coming transfer period. “And Ali Dursun will now succeed. And then Ali will say, “See, it’s not that hard.” And Guido Albers is left empty-handed.”
