Frank de Ligt, the father of Bayern Munich defender Matthijs de Ligt, has contacted Süleyman Öztürk. This is what the journalist reveals Football International in VI Uncensored. I saw that the opponent adapted to Bayern Munich’s way of building up. Then they find him insecure in the build-up, they see that he makes choices that are easy to defend and that you can easily put pressure on. That’s all I said.”
Öztürk states that he has nothing against De Ligt. “Of course Matthijs de Ligt has a sense of responsibility, as his father says. He is very good at setting up defense and has leadership qualities, that’s all true. He can take out a striker very well, but against Ireland he gets a chance and afterwards you can draw the conclusion that he does not deliver the ball on the right in a three-man defense. He shoots it straight into the feet of an Irishman. It already starts there, that is perhaps the beginning of such an opening phase.” Öztürk states that De Ligt then played an excellent second half and draws a conclusion. “I have nothing against Matthijs de Ligt at all.
