It looks like Christoph Freund will be Chelsea’s new technical director. That reports journalist Fabrizio Romano. Freund currently holds that position at Red Bull Salzburg, but seems to be leaving there. The 45-year-old Austrian is the man behind the arrival of Erling Braut Haaland, Sadio Mané and Naby Keïta, among others.

In addition to Freund, Luis Campos (Paris Saint-Germain), Michael Edwards (ex-Liverpool) and Lee Dykes (Brentford) were also in the spotlight. the Blues, but the choice seems to have fallen on Freund. Freund has been active with the title holder from Salzburg since 2006, where he was team manager in his first six years. He subsequently held the position of sports coordinator.
