A large banner that was shown by the Ajax supporters prior to the match against PSV caused a lot of disapproval on social media. The canvas depicts two PSV players with an eggshell on their heads, such as the cartoon character Calimero. ‘Brainfart Aidshoven’ can be read on the belly of their shirt and that in particular causes the necessary criticism.

Ajax Life, the official account of the Ajax Supporters Association, initially writes that ‘the creative Ajax players have worked hard again’. “We also see a certain text in the banner. It should be clear that, in our opinion, it should have been omitted.”, is added in a following tweet. The reactions also contain the necessary disapproving reactions from Ajax fans, who label the text ‘Brainfart Aidshoven’, among other things, as ‘scandalous’.
Hélène Hendriks also shows her disapproval about the banner via Twitter. The presenter had apparently posted a photo of the banner, without having read the text. “Read the text on the banner and therefore my previous tweet + photo removed.
