The question remains whether Isaac Babadi will still be a PSV player in six months' time, according to an interview by technical director Earnest Stewart with The Telegraph. While the people of Eindhoven previously expressed hope about a longer employment contract for the eighteen-year-old midfielder in the Philips Stadium, the tenor now seems to have changed somewhat.

Babadi has been the subject of discussion at PSV for months. The Nijmegen resident is running out of contract in North Brabant and does not want to simply renew. According to The Telegraph Babadi's longer employment with the leader is becoming 'increasingly doubtful'. Transfer market estimates his market value at 4 million euros, but PSV may not be left with anything from a possible departure.

In conversation with the morning newspaper, Stewart spoke clearly about the current situation. “He is a player we would like to keep at PSV. Of course, he is now (since January 1, ed.) free to speak to other clubs. We are talking to him and are patient. That will end at some point.”

“We are currently still trying to reach an agreement,” Stewart continues. “So that he stays at PSV. If it takes a long time, that says something, but we are still hopeful that we can make it go smoothly together. He would like to stay at this club and we would like to keep him. Ultimately, a player makes a choice. It's that simple.”

Babadi has played twelve games in PSV's main squad so far, scoring once. The Dutch youth international is reportedly interested in Feyenoord and various foreign clubs.

According to Feyenoord Transfermarkt Babadi is betting on a net salary of 1.5 million euros per year, which would immediately make him a big earner if he switched to De Kuip. However, he will not receive that desired amount at either Feyenoord or PSV, according to the Rotterdam medium.

Tygo Land
PSV will release positive news about another top talent on Thursday. Year-old Tygo Land (18) has permanently been transferred to the main force of the Eindhoven team. Journalist Rik Elfrink from the Eindhovens Dagblad indicated earlier this week that PSV has good hopes of extending the midfielder's contract for a number of years until mid-2025.
