Mino Raiola has cryptically spoken about the future of Paul Pogba, who will run out of his contract with Manchester United next summer. The agent was asked at a meeting in Rome about a possible return of the Frenchman to Juventus. Raiola replied that fans should “keep on dreaming” and thinks it is too early for further speculation.
“Dreams are free, those who don’t dream are dead,” Raiola said. “I don’t forbid anyone to dream, I dream every day, so let’s dream, it’s good for you. Then we’ll see if they become reality.” Pogba has been linked with a return to Manchester United since his transfer from Juventus to Manchester United in 2016 for €105 million. la Vecchia Signora, as his marriage to United has never been really happy. Real Madrid is also mentioned almost every transfer window in combination with the midfielder.
Raiola kept the dream theme on for a while to quell further speculation. “December is the month of dreams, with Christmas and the holidays. It’s too early, let’s see what happens. I don’t know why, but in England even the dead wake up when I talk about Pogba. So it’s better not to talk about it. Also because some of the former Manchester United players have nothing to talk about if they can’t talk about me and Pogba.” The agent thus sneered at, among others, Paul Scholes, who did not hide his criticism of Pogba after the Manchester United – Liverpool (0-5) game.
Raiola called his client “unhappy” several times in the past year and claimed that his career at the Red Devils was ‘about’. Pogba’s current season shows little improvement: in thirteen matches, the tall midfielder has not yet managed to score once and he often had to do it with substitutions. He also received a stupid red card in the home match against Liverpool. Pogba is currently out of action for about nine weeks due to a thigh injury and will miss his club’s crucial Champions League matches against Villarreal (November 23) and Young Boys (December 8).
