Daley Blind is 99.9 percent certain to leave Bayern Munich, his father Danny says in the Ziggo Sports Football Cafe. The former Ajax player has an expiring contract with the German leader and will most likely be transfer-free next summer. The 32-year-old defender is having a good time in Munich, but wants to play more in the final phase of his career. “99.9 percent sure, it will stay here and then he will leave there.”

Blind senior provides an update on his son’s situation when asked. “He is having a good time, of course. Bayern is a big club and he consciously chose that. Then you know that you can also end up on the couch. That is well communicated in advance, there is nothing strange about that. In the meantime, a new trainer has arrived, while Nagelsmann was involved in the transfer. Then you don’t know how Tuchel is in there. He had hoped for a little more playing minutes, but it is an experience in itself.”

The German Sports1 reported at the end of last month that the end of the story is for Blind at Bayern. Blind senior seems to confirm that. “It stays almost 99.9 percent here and then he goes out of there. That was also the deal.” Blind does not have to complain about interest. “There are some opportunities in LaLiga and also some other competitions. But hey, that’s all still very early. He wants to play at the highest level for another two years if possible.”

Blind had his contract with Ajax terminated last winter because of his bad relationship with the now fired Alfred Schreuder. Initially, the left leg was heavily linked to clubs such as Royal Antwerp and Real Sociedad, until he suddenly signed with Bayern. The adventure at the record master however, is not a resounding success. The 101-time international of the Dutch national team has only played 157 minutes for the Bavarian club so far, spread over five games. His last club match dates from March 11, almost two months ago.
