Cristiano Ronaldo has graced his return for Manchester United with a goal. The Portuguese superstar played a difficult first half against Newcastle United, but managed to make a knockout just before half-time. Ronaldo was helped by goalkeeper Frederick Woodman, who made a flashy mistake with an apparently easy shot by Mason Greenwood: 1-0 at halftime.
Ronaldo immediately broke a record in England with his comeback in the shirt of Manchester United. It was exactly twelve years and 118 days since the 36-year-old attacker was last active in the Premier League. Never before has a player returned to the highest English level after such a long period of absence.
