Chelsea have decided to sell Romelu Lukaku at the end of the current season, transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano reports. The Belgian striker is currently on loan for AS Roma, which has also been told Lukaku’s price tag.

Lukaku will enter the transfer market in the summer of 2024 for 37 million pounds, approximately 43 million euros. Chelsea does not feel like negotiating with clubs all summer, so any interested club can pick him up for the fixed amount.

If Chelsea manage to sell their striker for that amount, the club will make a loss of approximately seventy million euros. He came to Stamford Bridge in 2021 for no less than 113 million euros. He was then taken over from Internazionale

Roma would undoubtedly keep the Belgian striker on board for longer. Despite the fact that José Mourinho’s team has started the season poorly, Lukaku is making a big impression in the Italian capital.

Roma currently occupies tenth place in Serie A and has collected eleven points in eight matches. However, Lukaku has overcome the malaise: he has already found the net seven times in eight appearances for the club.

It has been known for some time that the now thirty-year-old striker can score in the Italian league. The Antwerp-born striker played for Inter last season, for which he scored 10 goals and provided 6 assists in 25 games.

Lukaku is currently preparing for the European Championship qualifiers with Austria and Sweden. The Red Devils are at the top of the group, with thirteen points from five matches.
