Raheem Sterling is close to a move to Chelsea, transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano announced on Wednesday evening. The Manchester City attacker has reached a personal agreement with the Blues on a multi-year contract and only has to wait for an agreement between the clubs. According to Romano, Sterling will be one of the highest paid players at Chelsea.

The Londoners have been in talks with City about a deal for several weeks and appear to be reaching an agreement on a total transfer fee of around €52 million. If the clubs do come to an agreement, Chelsea will become Sterling’s third employer in the Premier League. The wing striker went through most of the Queens Park Rangers youth academy, before joining Liverpool’s main squad in 2012. After a three-year adventure with the Reds Sterling was acquired by City in the summer of 2015 for approximately $64 million. On behalf of the latter club, he made a total of 339 official appearances in which 131 times were accurate.
