Besiktas has booked a convincing victory at home in the Süper Lig. The team of coach Senol Günes fell behind against Giresunspor, but thanks to goals from Vincent Aboubakar (twice) and Nathan Redmond, put things in order: 3-1. Thanks to the victory, Besiktas climbs to second place, although Fenerbahçe, which has one point less, has played two games less. Giresunspor, where Brandley Kuwas kicked off, is sixteenth and therefore has the necessary relegation concerns.

Besiktas was immediately the better party in the opening phase. For example, the home team had shooting opportunities within ten minutes via Cenk Tosun, Redmond and Rachid Ghezzal, all of whom encountered goalkeeper Ferhat Kaplan. After Tosun shot the next chance, it was hit on the other side. After a smooth attack, Borja Sainz brought the ball to Riad Bajic, who cleverly worked the ball against the ropes: 0-1. After Aboubakar had to watch a minute later how his chance was thwarted by the defense of Giresunspor, the African scored ten minutes before the break. Alexis Pérez made hands in the box and Aboubakar took advantage of the opportunity: 1-1. In minute 45 + 5 Besiktas took the lead. Ghezzal reached Aboubakar, who saw his powder end up in the far corner: 2-1.

Shortly after the break, Redmond closed the game. The Englishman was reached on the left side of the box, got rid of the defenders and saw his placed shot hit the far corner: 3-1. The former player of Southampton, among others, had the 4-1 for the tap a little later, but this time he did not put enough force behind his effort. Twenty minutes from time, the bustling Redmond tried again. His shot towards the far corner was turned into a corner by Kaplan. In the last twenty minutes, Giresunspor could no longer make a fist, while Besiktas had had enough. There were therefore no longer any great opportunities to note. Pérez tried it in minute 95 with a nice long shot, which ended up centimeters past the post.
