Barcelona is not making use of the option to extend Juan Miranda’s expiring contract for two seasons. The defender can therefore switch transfer-free to Real Betis, the club to which he was already rented out last season. Barcelona confirms Miranda’s departure through official channels and retains 40 percent of its transfer rights. Moreover, Barcelona has a first option in a future sale of the left back.

Miranda played in the youth for both Betis and Barcelona. He played in league for Barcelona B thirty times, but never played in LaLiga for the first team.
