Barcelona is on track to sell Konrad de la Fuente, reports say RAC1. The nineteen-year-old wing striker, who only managed to play 36 minutes under Ronald Koeman, is well on his way to Olympique Marseille. There is talk of a deal for five million euros, so has Mundo Deportivo now confirmed.

Olympique Marseille is expected to hire Konrad first and take it over at the end of the new season through a mandatory option to buy. Barcelona hopes to include a buy-back option in the deal for an undisclosed amount. The transfer offers the Catalans some financial space, which the club has been yearning for since the outbreak of the corona crisis.

Konrad is a product of the Barcelona youth academy, for which he has been playing since he was 13. The winger must have hoped to make his breakthrough in the first under Koeman last season, but he only made three short substitutions. Only Matheus Fernandes (seventeen playing minutes) was even less involved under Koeman. Konrad is also a Spanish-American player who has one cap for the United States to his name.

Barcelona already brought in Sergio Aguero on a free transfer and expects to present Memphis Depay soon. In the attacking line, the necessary players may leave the club. After Konrad, the aim is to find a new club for Martin Braithwaite as well. If Ousmane Dembélé refuses to renew his contract expiring in mid-2022, Barça also want to sell the French attacker. Francisco Trincão, which was acquired from Benfica for 31 million euros last year, may be let.
