In Group C of the Europa League, Real Betis and AS Roma balanced each other in Seville. The result has qualified the Spaniards for the next round, while Roma must seriously fear Ludogorets, who is a formidable competitor with the same number of points and one game less. In the Conference League, Villarreal managed to secure a 0-1 victory in the final phase. Qualification for the next round for the team of Arnaut Danjuma, who was the basic player, is thus a fact.

Real Betis – AS Roma 1-1
Betis took the lead in Estadio Benito Villamarín after more than half an hour of play. Sergio Canales received the ball on the edge of the box and saw his attempt fly into the goal via a Roman leg: 1-0. Canales had two good opportunities before half-time. His first attempt went just wide, while his second shot was blocked. Even before halftime, Roma thought they would equalize, but goalscorer Andrea Belotti turned out to be in an offside position. After the break, the striker scored again and this time his goal was saved. Belotti received the ball from Mady Camara, after which it was a breeze for the goal thief to place the 1-1 in the bottom right corner. In the remainder, both teams threatened at times, but there were no more goals to be scored.

Austria Vienna – Villarreal 0-1
Basic player Danjuma had the chance to open the score just before half hour. The Dutchman, who recently returned from injury, freed himself on the edge of the box, but then shot high over. Ten minutes before half time, the former NEC player once again had a shooting opportunity. After a nice pass shot, that shot also went high. Ten minutes after the break, Danjuma was replaced by Nicolas Jackson and that turned out to be a golden move by trainer Unai Emery. On a pass from José Luis Morales, Jackson managed to work the ball behind goalkeeper Christian Fruchtl in the sixteen-meter area: 0-1. The Spaniards held out in the sequel.
