Anwar El Ghazi will continue his career on a rental basis at Everton, the club reported via official channels on Thursday evening. The attacker makes the switch from Aston Villa and will certainly play for the end of the season the Toffees. El Ghazi was successfully medically examined on Wednesday evening and he will play at the club from Liverpool with shirt number 34, as a tribute to Abdelhak Nouri.

Last Sunday the name of El Ghazi was mentioned for the first time. In the weekend there was still talk of a possible exchange deal, in which Lucas Digne would go the opposite way. However, Everton wanted cash and brushed off a swap deal, but eventually the club became interested. El Ghazi is the second signing for Everton, which previously brought in Vitalii Mykolenko and Nathan Patterson.

The winger has a conversation with Everton TV know to be very pleased with the step. “I can always score a goal at an important moment. I can add a lot of value in the future with my pace and technique. I can hold the ball and am good in one-on-one situations. I’m ready and can’t wait to get started. I’ve already met a few fans and it’s great to see people living for the club. It’s actually their religion. You just want to give everything and show them what you can do to make them happy,” said the ecstatic El Ghazi.

Last football season, El Ghazi scored 10 goals in 28 Premier League appearances. The wing attacker was also in the European Championship pre-selection of the Dutch, but ultimately did not survive the selection. The current season is more unfortunate for El Ghazi, who only scored a total of 383 minutes in nine league games. In those matches, the former Ajax player scored once and provided an assist.
