Ansu Fati was named the Best Player of the Month in LaLiga on Saturday. The Barcelona attacker received the most votes from the supporters in the first election of the season for September. Remarkable: Fati and Barcelona only played one game last month in connection with their participation in the Champions League in August, while other teams in LaLiga played two to three games in September.

However, Fati’s performances in Barcelona’s season overture against Villarreal (4-0) were there. The seventeen-year-old Spain international scored twice in the first nineteen minutes and earned a penalty ten minutes before half time, which was used by Lionel Messi. Fati was taken to the side by Ronald Koeman twenty minutes before the end and replaced by Ousmane Dembélé, the biggest victim of the teen’s advance.

The Barcelona match against Celta de Vigo (0-3) did not count for the election. The game in Balaidos, where Fati opened the score after eleven minutes, was played on October 1. Koeman let Fati start in the base in the first three league matches of Barcelona and seems to have boundless confidence in the attacker due to his running actions, purpose and defensive work.

National coach Luis Enrique also walks away with Fati. The attacker made his debut last month in the 1-1 draw against Germany as a substitute and was allowed to start in the base against Ukraine three days later. He enhanced his basic debut with the third goal in the 4-0 win.
