It was restless at Manchester United on Thursday morning. Furious supporters entered the Carrington training complex around 10 a.m. UK time to express their dissatisfaction with the Super League. The Red Devils have since withdrawn from the European top competition, but the angry supporters are not satisfied with that. Manchester United fans want to see the American owners say goodbye very soon.

A group of supporters appeared on the training field of Manchester United on Tuesday morning with some banners. The text ‘Glazer Out’ was visible on one of the flags. The participation in the Super League has caused the popularity of owner Joel Glazer to drop even further. The fans prefer to see a break with the American businessman and his family as soon as possible. Glazer wrote an open letter to the superpower’s supporters earlier this week apologizing for the whole turn of events surrounding Manchester United’s involvement in the Super League. However, the statement cannot take away the anger from the supporters.

“Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and other people have already talked to the supporters,” Manchester United said in a statement on Thursday morning. “All buildings at Carrington are secured and the supporters group has now left the training complex.” The angry Manchester United fans are demanding, among other things, that 51 percent of the shares be in the hands of the club’s supporters, as is also the case in Germany.

The unrest and anger about the Super League is not only limited to Manchester United. Earlier this week, Chelsea and Liverpool supporters gathered at Stamford Bridge and Anfield respectively to express their dissatisfaction with the owners. Liverpool owner John W. Henry shortly thereafter recorded a video message containing his heartfelt apologies to supporters of the Reds.
