Benaissa Benamar leaves Telstar for Sassuolo. The transfer has not yet been officially completed, but Telstar trainer Andries Jonker confirmed on Monday evening prior to the match in the Kitchen Champion Division against FC Den Bosch that the 23-year-old defender will sign with the club from the Serie A. Benamar is missing against Den Bosch and has played his last game for Telstar.

Jonker was asked about Benarmar’s absence before the duel with Den Bosch. “We may have lost him, and here you have a scoop, to Sassuolo”, the trainer says FOX Sports. “Only the signatures are still missing. You don’t let such a player play in football. We would be satisfied with what has now been agreed. We still have to do concrete business and that hasn’t happened yet. ”

According to Jonker, there is an oral agreement between both clubs. “There are agreements that we agree,” the trainer continues. “And Benemar is very pleased with his improvement. All the boys except Glynor Plet and Frank Korpershoek play here to achieve more, higher and better. Sassuolo is more, higher and better than Telstar. It suits him and he really wants it. And we would be happy with the conditions. So then we will do that. ”

“That is a shortcoming, but that is how it works here. He’s the fifth player to make the move since I’ve been here. That’s what we do it for, ”says Jonker. Benamar played in the youth of Ajax and ADO Den Haag, among others. He ended up at Telstar last year via FC Twente and Ittihad Tanger. Last season he made 26 league games on behalf of Telstar.
