Florin Manea has mixed feelings about Radu Dragusin's impending move to Tottenham Hotspur. Genoa's Romanian centre-back had already agreed to Bayern Munich, but arrived in London on Wednesday to finalize the deal with the Spurs finalize.

According to Manea, Bayern came up with an offer on Tuesday that was much higher than that of Tottenham. Nevertheless, Dragusin chooses to sign a multi-year contract with Tottenham for 24 million euros, an amount that can rise to 30 million euros due to bonuses.

“The final decision was taken this morning at eight o'clock,” Manea said in conversation with the Romanian medium on Wednesday Gazeta Sporturilor. “We had already decided to choose Tottenham, but then suddenly an offer came in from Bayern.”

“We told Radu to think about it carefully. Bayern is one of the biggest clubs in the world. I actually can't believe that I rejected Bayern,” Dragusin's agent feels somewhat guilty.

Dragusin did not make the decision to join Tottenham overnight. “Bayern offered more money. But Radu thought Tottenham was the best move for his career. We could hardly sleep last night. Napoli and AC Milan also showed interest, but it was always a dream of Radu to play in the Premier League can play.”

On the other hand, Manea is also proud of Dragusin, who chooses his career over more money. “I don't know how many people would have ignored Bayern's offer. Maybe they will come back in the future. But for Radu, only Tottenham matters now.”

With the transfer to Tottenham, Dragusin has instantly become the most expensive Romanian player of all time. Adrian Mutu has held that record since 2003. Chelsea transferred 22.7 million euros to Parma for the attacker at the time.
