Mohammed Kudus and Brian Brobbey are in the base at Ajax for the meeting with PSV. The two attacking players played alternately as strikers in recent weeks, but now trainer Alfred Schreuder has opted for a formation in which both Kudus and Brobbey can play. The Ghanaian is expected to play as an attacking midfielder. Steven Berghuis is also in the base. He has been found fit enough after suffering a minor injury in the away game at Rangers last week.

It was a race against time for Berghuis and the former Feyenoord player made it. He will play as number 10 in midfield against PSV, along with Edson Álvarez and Kudus. Brian Brobbey is also fit enough to participate. The striker was given a rest against Rangers as he suffered a minor injury and saw Kudus as his replacement play a good game. Yet Brobbey is again the man who has to take care of the goals as attack leader against PSV. However, he now knows that Kudus is behind him as an attacking midfielder. Kenneth Taylor is sitting on the couch.

A player who did not make it to the match against PSV is Owen Wijndal. The left back was injured on Ibrox and then thought it was not that bad, but will still have to watch from the stands. However, it is not Daley Blind, but Devyne Rensch who will play as a left wing defender. In recent months, Blind’s game has often been criticized and it seems that now Schreuder is also ready to make other choices. Rensch can also play center back, which would move Calvin Bassey to left back.

Ajax’s line-up: feather key; Sanchez, Timber, Bassey, Rensch; Álvarez, Berghuis, Kudus; Bergwijn, Brobbey, Tadic.
