Lasse Abildgaard will be on trial at Ajax for two weeks in November, reports Tipsbladet. The fifteen-year-old Dane plays at Silkeborg and will get a chance this month to enforce a contract with Ajax.

“Ajax has made contact with the player itself,” says Peter Christian Hansen, talent manager of the Danish club Tipsbladet. “The intention is that he comes to Amsterdam with one of his parents and a youth trainer.” Abildgaard may be able to follow in the footsteps of Kasper Dolberg, who made the switch from Silkeborg to Ajax in January 2015. The now 25-year-old striker from Seville broke through in Amsterdam at lightning speed and was good for 45 goals in 119 official matches.

However, Hansen does not expect that Abildgaard will actually make the switch to Ajax in the short term. “No, it’s not really in the planning, but it’s clear that if someone like Lasse does well, it’s a possibility. But there are still quite a few things that need to fall into place. So now it’s just a training, and then we’ll look further. For Lasse, it’s also about seeing something different from Silkeborg and Danish conditions.”
