Sontje Hansen looks back on his return to the Johan Cruijff ArenA with satisfaction. On Sunday afternoon he returned to Ajax with NEC, where the attacker went through the youth academy, and managed to score a point: 2-2. During his interview in front of the camera of ESPN Hansen is interrupted by former teammate Brian Brobbey, who corrects him during the interview.

At home, coach John van 't Schip's team seemed to be on their way to a minimal victory thanks to a liberating goal from Carlos Forbs, until Rober González scored in the 95th minute: 2-2. Hansen provided the decisive cross for Jorrel Hato's own goal, who scored the 1-1.

“It was a special match for me,” Hansen begins. “I hadn't been to the ArenA for a long time, so it was nice. I wasn't very tense beforehand; that tension only came a little when I walked onto the field. In the second half I was more relaxed and played better.”

“It feels good that I was important in the 1-1. It was good that we scored that goal soon after the break. After that, Ajax unfortunately got into the match better.”

“I had mixed feelings during the match. I mentioned earlier that I just wanted to hurt them. But I am satisfied with the 1-1 final score,” says Hansen, after which Brobbey suddenly intervenes.

“The score is 2-2!”, the Ajax striker corrects Hansen off screen. The NEC member responds with a smile. “Haha that's right, it's 2-2, sorry. Oh, you scored too? Haha, I didn't know!”, he says to Brobbey.

“I didn't think we were inferior today either. We know that Ajax performed less well in the last period and with our qualities we should have won. We were happy with the 2-2, but I think there could have been more,” Hansen concludes.
