Ajax is working on the arrival of Daniel Johan Skaarud, reports Ajax Showtime. The fifteen-year-old Norwegian currently plays in the youth academy of Lillestrøm SK and is known as a great talent in his home country. The team from Amsterdam is said to have almost agreed with the Norwegian club about the transfer of the teenager.

Skaarud has to come over from Lillestrøm ‘for a few tons’. He is known as a versatile striker. The left winger can also play as a right winger, striker and number 10. Skaarud is currently with Lillestrom until December 31, 2025. The six-time youth international of Norway Under 15 is still waiting for his debut in the first team, although he has already been on the bench with the main force three times.

Ajax has often focused on foreign talents this season. For example, seventeen-year-old Mika Godts came over from KRC Genk for one million euros at the end of January. The Belgian signed a contract until mid-2025 in the Johan Cruijff ArenA. Godts, a left winger who can also play as an attacking midfielder, was one of the tastemakers of Jong Genk. In the Challenger Pro League (the second level of Belgium) he scored seven hits and one assist this season Blue White. Last month he immediately showed his class on his debut for Jong Ajax with a solo from the middle line.

Last summer, Ajax also tied sixteen-year-old Jan Faberski to itself. The team from Amsterdam took over the Polish talent from Jagiellonia Bialystok, which plays in the highest national competition. The midfielder started the season with Ajax Under 17. In March 2021, Ajax also secured the arrival of Rayane Bounida. The now seventeen-year-old attacking midfielder came over from Anderlecht.
