Ajax and Adidas presented the new away shirt for the 2023/24 season on Friday morning. Dusan Tadic, Steven Bergwijn, Devyne Rensch, Brian Brobbey and Mika Godts model in the new away kit. The shirt has white as the base color. The accent color of the shirt is dark blue.
It is the first time since 1988/89 that white is the basic color of the away kit. That was not possible for long, because the away shirt would not contrast enough with the home colours. Since 2020/21, Ajax has structurally had a third kit, which made a predominantly white away shirt possible again. On the shirt and socks, the stripes, logos and three vertical Andrew’s crosses are dark blue, just like the pants. Furthermore, a turquoise/light pink pattern has been added to the shirt and stockings.
“We always carry our city with us. Inextricably linked to who we are, what we stand for and how we present ourselves. That’s what makes us Ajax, all over the world: a touch of Amsterdam”, writes Ajax about the away shirt. Reactions on social media have been mixed. In addition to positive reactions, there are also a lot of complaints. “Thought carnival was over”, one reads.

In itself an okay shirt I think. Just like 18/19 I guess just a bit of getting used to haha. But wait for the home shirt!
