The full composition of the technical staff of Ajax 1 is known. The Amsterdam team confirmed on Thursday evening the appointment of Francesco Farioli as head coach, who has signed for three years. Trainer Dave Vos switches from Jong Ajax to Farioli's staff.

The technical staff of Ajax 1 will be supplemented by assistant coaches Daniele Cavalletto and Felipe Sanchez Mateos, both also coming from OGC Nice, Ajax announced through official channels.

Cavalletto has been an assistant coach at several Italian clubs since 2008. He worked at OGC Nice, Fatih Karagümrük and Alanyaspor together with Farioli and Sanchez Mateos, who in turn has experience as an assistant coach with various (youth) teams in Spain, Turkey, Qatar and Ecuador.

Vos is also added to the first team staff as an assistant coach. Vos has been head coach of Jong Ajax since February 2023. The coach started his coaching career in the youth academy of Ajax and was previously an assistant coach at Jong Ajax and the Scottish Rangers FC.

Jelle ten Rouwelaar, as was previously announced, will be appointed as goalkeeper coach. The former goalkeeper previously worked as a goalkeeper coach at NAC Breda, Anderlecht and Burnley.

Farioli has already stated in a response that he is really looking forward to the new adventure. “I am very happy to be here in Amsterdam, together with the other staff members we will work with full dedication. We want to go back to basics and connect with what Ajax stands for. We also want to bring new energy with a positive way of working and thinking.”

“I am aware that there is a lot of work to do, but we have already started preparing,” said Farioli. “We don't want to waste any time and are already preparing for the start of the season, to bring Ajax back to where it belongs.”
