Bayer Leverkusen has made a very energetic start to the new Bundesliga season. The team of trainer Xabi Alonso already beat RB Leipzig (3-2) last week and the unions on Saturday the Werkself Borussia Mönchengladbach also won: 0-3. Summer acquisition Victor Boniface was the big man with two hits, while Jonathan Tah also appeared on the scoreboard. Leverkusen is currently second on goal difference, behind Union Berlin.

Particularities
