The ADO Den Haag bus leaves on Wednesday morning at the initiative of transport partner Van Heugten Tours to the border of Ukraine, the Keuken Kampioen Division club reports on its own website. The driver who normally drives the ADO bus to the away games, goes back and forth from The Hague to Poland in 48 hours.

On the way there, the bus is loaded with food, drinks and clothing. On the way back, 60 children between 9 months and 18 years old will be taken back, ADO reports. Commercial manager Jesper van den Bosch says he is proud of the transport partner Van Heugten Tours. “It’s very special what the Van Heugten team has set up in a short time,” says Van den Bosch.

Tim van Heugten, operational director at Van Heugten Tours, also responds. “When I look at my own family and hear the stories of the people we are allowed to help, I am happy and proud that we can fulfill this role with our family business. We want to make people aware that it takes place right under our noses,” he says. on the ADO website.

Not only the ADO bus is sent to the Ukrainian border, because Van Heugten Tours has been helping refugees for some time. “Every day in the coming period we want to send a bus from The Hague for help. We have now been able to help more than 500 women and children. In the coming days we will double this number,” said commercial director Wesley van Heugten.
