AC Milan will remain in the lead of Internazionale for the time being. The team of trainer Stefano Pioli completed a spectacular game on Sunday evening with AS Roma in the Stadio Olimpico, where Rick Karsdorp was within the lines for ninety minutes. After ninety minutes of football there was a 1-2 score on the scoreboard in the Italian capital, partly because referee Marco Guida rejected three hits. Milan’s deficit is still four points, as Inter won 3-0 against Genoa earlier in the day.

The meeting between the number five and the number two of the Serie A had a spectacular initial phase. After the first chance went to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Milan seemed to score within five minutes. After a scrimmage, the ball went against the ropes, but the goal was canceled due to offside. A few minutes later, Ibrahimovic got a life-sized chance from Pau López in the lap, but the AS Roma goalkeeper initially saved and then saw that the striker tried to score with a heel. However, that attempt went wrong.

Guess how Zlatan Ibrahimovic is going to try to get this ball into the goal … ??

With just ten minutes left, Ibrahimovic had the ball in the net. However, the visitors’ goal again ended, as Ante Rebic had played the striker in an offside position. After Simon Kjaer hit the bar on behalf of Milan, it was hit on the other side. For the third time in the evening, a goal, this time by Henrikh Mkhitaryan, was disallowed, as Gianluca Mancini committed a foul in the run-up to the goal. López then proved to be an obstacle to opportunities for Rebic and Alexis Saelemaekers, while a lob by Mkhitaryan went just wide.

Just before half time, Milan received a penalty kick after interference from the VAR, for a foul by Federico Fazio on Davide Calabria. Franck Kessié shot the deserved opening goal from the penalty spot against the ropes. However, this was canceled shortly after the break. Leonardo Spinazzola put the ball back to Jordan Veretout, who was given space to lay the ball ready and then hit from the edge of the penalty area. Milan was not discouraged and took the lead again eight minutes later.

López handed in the ball, after which Milan quickly used the slipper of the Roma goalkeeper. Rebic quickly received the ball in the penalty area, turned away nicely and then made no mistake: 1-2. It was a small miracle that there were no more goals in the remaining half hour. Mkhitaryan hit the bar, López prevented goals from Fikayo Tomori and Rade Krunic and Gianluigi Donnarumma intervened twice when Mkhitaryan showed up in front of him. Milan managed to pull the minimal victory over the line, so i Rossoneri keeping in the footsteps of Internazionale.

Zidane annoyed about asking Sergio Ramos: “Why do you keep asking that?”
